Mr. Santana serves Ascendiant Capital Markets LLC as Director of Research.

Mr. Santana has nearly twenty years of experience in equity research, and has been recognized six consecutive times in the Institutional Investor magazine poll of top analysts.

During his career, Mr. Santana has covered a wide variety of industry sectors including renewable energy and clean technology, business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce and enterprise software, airlines, cement, construction, hotels and tourism, steel and aluminum production, and TV and radio broadcasting. He has covered public companies in the U.S. and foreign markets.

Prior to Ascendiant, Mr. Santana was an analyst at Merrill Lynch and institutional brokerage firm, D. A. Campbell Company. He also previously provided equity research services at regional investment banking firms such as Wedbush Morgan Securities, B. Riley & Company, and Global Hunter Securities.

Mr. Santana began his career as a credit analyst covering the high technology industry in the corporate lending group at Bank of America.

Mr. Santana earned a Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Economics from Stanford University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and maintains FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, 86, 87, and 99 securities registrations.
